Michael Job Center for Orphan Girls - Coimbatore, India

www.michaeljobcenter.com The Michael Job Center was started in 2001 by Dr. PP Job, an internationally known Evangelist, Preacher and Mission worker to the persecuted church. The home was built in memory of Dr. Job's 21 year old son, Michael, who was martyred in India because of his fathers' Christian activities. In 1999 an attempt was made on Dr. Job's life by radical Hindus in India, who did not like his Christian work and influence. Then in June of the same year, following the failed attempt on his life, the angry radicals retaliated and killed Dr. Job's son Michael by running him down with a car where he studied at a medical school. At his son's funeral, Dr. Job proclaimed, "[Losing my son] was like having my right arm cut off. But I will still serve God with my left arm." The following year, a plot of land was donated in Coimbatore for a possible future orphanage. With no idea of God's planning, Dr. Job proceeded to accept the small, seemingly worthless plot which didn't even have fresh water (salt water only), and no access to electricity. A home was erected and 30 children of persecuted and martyred Christians were taken in. Shortly after, God miraculously provided fresh water, full electricity and enough concrete to build a large chapel, and a school building! In time, as God provided and expanded Dr. Job's vision, adjoining plots of land were secured, and a 5 acre soccer stadium was added. Within 4 years, the Center stands as a testimony of God's incredible love ...
